What areas do you serve?
Veterinary Kinetics Rehab serves Los Angeles County and Southern California, offering mobile in-home veterinary rehabilitation and integrative medicine services.
How do mobile veterinary visits work?
Instead of bringing your pet to a clinic, Dr. Pollard-Wright brings the full rehab experience to your home. This includes a comprehensive physical exam, therapy, and personalized home-care guidance—minimizing your pet’s stress and maximizing comfort and convenience for you.
What types of pets do you treat?
While the primary focus is on dogs and cats, Veterinary Kinetics Rehab offers services for all types of animals in need of rehabilitation and pain management.
Do you offer emergency services?
No. Veterinary Kinetics Rehab does not offer emergency services. For urgent or emergency care, you should contact your primary veterinarian or a 24-hour emergency clinic.
Are your services more expensive than a regular vet clinic?
While in-home veterinary rehab offers a more personalized and stress-free experience, pricing depends on your pet’s specific needs and treatment plan. Dr. Pollard-Wright works closely with you to develop a plan that fits your budget while delivering evidence-based care.

Do you provide acupuncture or laser therapy?
Yes! These noninvasive therapies are especially effective for managing pain, improving mobility, and supporting recovery.
Can you help my senior pet with mobility issues?

How do I schedule a visit?
To schedule an appointment, simply call us at 310-871-0977 or reach out via our contact form. We’ll be happy to answer your questions and find a time that works best for you.
What do I need to prepare before your arrival?
Prior to your first visit, please email your pet’s veterinary records (including any imaging or specialist reports) to info@veterinarykineticsrehab.com. You’ll also want to have a quiet space available for the session where your pet can relax and focus.
Do you need to use any of my home furniture or equipment during the session?
Most sessions can be conducted using your existing space—like rugs, yoga mats, or a soft surface for your pet. If anything additional is needed, Dr. Pollard-Wright will let you know in advance or bring portable equipment as needed.
How long does each session typically last?
The initial exam is a multi-hour, comprehensive evaluation. Follow-up sessions are also in-depth and vary slightly based on your pet’s needs and selected therapies. You’ll receive undivided, one-on-one attention for the full duration of each visit.
How often will my pet need treatment?
Frequency depends on your pet’s condition and response to therapy. Many patients require only 3–4 sessions before moving to an “as-needed” schedule—typically every 4–8 weeks for maintenance. Dr. Pollard-Wright will create a plan that works for both your pet and your schedule.
Will my pet be comfortable receiving care at home?
Yes! In-home care reduces the stress and anxiety pets often feel at clinics. Your pet stays relaxed in a familiar environment, and you’ll be right there during every session to observe and participate. Learn more about our in-home approach.
Can you teach me exercises or therapies to do between visits?
Absolutely. After your pet’s initial evaluation, Dr. Pollard-Wright will personally teach you how to perform the recommended home exercises, ensuring you feel confident and comfortable administering them. You’ll also receive access to our exclusive video library that includes written instructions to support your pet’s ongoing care between visits. This hands-on, guided approach sets us apart from clinics that simply send generic exercise videos.
How do I know if the therapy is actually working?
At Veterinary Kinetics Rehab, we rely on measurable, evidence-based diagnostics to track your pet’s progress. We use tools like goniometry to assess joint range of motion, girth measurements to monitor muscle mass, infrared thermal imaging to assess body surface temperature, and advanced pressure mapping to evaluate treatment outcomes. In fact, we’re one of the first ambulatory practices in California to use the same pressure mapping technology (GAITFour) trusted by top veterinary teaching hospitals.
How soon will I see improvements in my pet’s condition?
Many pet owners notice positive changes within the first few sessions, especially with pain relief and mobility. Results vary based on the condition, but with consistent care and home exercises, you’ll likely see steady improvement over time.
Am I allowed to watch my pet receive therapy?
Absolutely. At Veterinary Kinetics, you’re always welcome to stay with your pet during treatment. Dr. Pollard-Wright performs the therapy right in front of you, so you can be involved and confident in their care.
Will my pet see a different veterinarian each visit?
Not at Veterinary Kinetics. Your pet will always be treated by Dr. Pollard-Wright, ensuring consistency, trust, and personalized care every time.
Will a veterinarian come to treat my pet?
Yes. At Veterinary Kinetics Rehab, Dr. Pollard-Wright personally provides all therapy. Your pet will never be handed off to a technician—treatment is always delivered by a licensed veterinarian using a multi-modal blend of Eastern and Western medicine.
Do you work with my regular vet for a treatment plan?
Yes. While a referral isn’t required, we do request your pet’s medical records to better understand their history and current needs. We’re happy to coordinate with your veterinarian or specialist to ensure a cohesive care plan.
What are your fees?
Fees vary based on your pet’s needs and the therapies provided. Treatment plans are tailored to each case, and Dr. Pollard-Wright will work with you to create a plan that fits your budget. For current rates and options, we recommend contacting us directly.
Do you accept pet insurance?
Yes. Many pet insurance policies cover veterinary physiotherapy when it’s provided by a licensed veterinarian—which is always the case at Veterinary Kinetics Rehab. In most cases, you’ll pay at the time of service, then submit the paid invoice and a claim form to your insurance provider. If they request medical records, Veterinary Kinetics Rehab will send them directly on your behalf. Be sure to check with your insurance provider for specific coverage details.
What forms of payment do you accept?
All payments are due at the time of service. For accepted payment types (credit, debit, etc.), please contact us directly at 310-871-0977.
What is your cancellation policy?
We require at least 48 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice may be subject to an administration fee equal to the cost of a session. If you’d like to be notified of earlier openings due to cancellations, just let us know when scheduling.
What are the benefits of in-home rehab vs. in-clinic therapy?
In-home rehab reduces stress and anxiety for your pet, eliminates travel time and clinic waiting rooms, and allows treatment in a familiar environment. It also gives Dr. Pollard-Wright the opportunity to observe your pet in their daily surroundings and tailor therapies more precisely.
What makes your services different from other mobile vets?
At Veterinary Kinetics Rehab, your pet is always seen and treated by Dr. Pollard-Wright—never handed off to a tech. She combines Eastern and Western medicine, advanced diagnostics, and evidence-based therapies into every visit. You also get access to custom home programs, videos, and ongoing support between sessions.
How experienced are you in veterinary rehabilitation?
Dr. Pollard-Wright brings a deep medical and surgical background to every case and is trained in physical medicine, Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine, acupuncture, and sports medicine. Her approach is both holistic and scientifically grounded, making each treatment plan highly effective and tailored to your pet.
Can you help pets with chronic conditions like arthritis or degenerative myelopathy?
Yes. We support in managing chronic and degenerative conditions through long-term, noninvasive care. Our treatments focus on reducing pain, improving function, and enhancing your pet’s quality of life—whether they’re dealing with arthritis, degenerative myelopathy, or other mobility challenges.
